Bordeaux-styled wines is our primary focus at Greyscale Wines. Our Cuvée Blanc is a new world take on a Bordeaux Blanc that blends barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc with Marsanne (2009 Rousanne) rather than Semillon, which produces a rich, complex wine with many layers of taste. Our Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and the other typical varietals of Bordeaux - Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec. The end result is a classic California Cabernet that is similar to a left-bank Bordeaux Rouge.
We loved the elegant, low alcohol wines from Bordeaux. We also believe the best wines pair well with the fresh local food pioneered in California – our dream is to create elegant Bordeaux-style wine using California grapes.
Currently, our wines are available through our website and select wine shops/restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. Information on our wines and vineyard sources is below. If you have specific questions not addressed in the resources below, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
